Education and training are a continuing and lifelong process and are no longer associated exclusively with a period of learning such as primary, secondary or tertiary education.
The pace of change in the workplace is now so rapid and intense and professional or occupational continuous training is needed for further development of an individual knowledge, skills and attitudes. Such development is not solely the responsibility of organizations but professionals too have a role to play in being proactive and identifying areas in which they need to develop.
"ESTAMER" program therefore underlines the notion that an individual takes responsibility for learning and choosing the methods and place, to pursue goal-oriented learning activities.
